Phytosanitary Characteristics of Citrus Cultures in the Republic of Cuba

Abstract. Citrus is one of the most important cultures in Cuba. The current decrease in its production is influenced by the phytosanitary state of the region, in particular, invasion and spreading of the Asian citrus psyllid, Diaphorina citri, which is a vector of Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus, the causal agent of “yellow dragon disease” (Huanglongbing). The article also touches upon other pests that affect the phytosanitary state of citrus plantations.

Western Conifer Seed Bug Leptoglossus occidentalis Heidemann, 1910 (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Coreidae) – New Invader of the Russian Forests

Abstract. The article contains data on western conifer seed bug Leptoglossus occidentalis Heidemann, 1910 (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Coreidae) distribution while forming secondary (invasive) area in the European countries and on the territory of Russia. The level of harmfulness is presented and the list of forage plants is given.

Identification of Trogoderma and Reesa Skin Beetles’ Genera

(Coleoptera: Dermestidae), Stored Products and Seeds Pests

Abstract. Skin beetles take a special place among pests of stored plant products, as they damage not only food products but also seeds. In 2002-2015, the Plant Quarantine Department of FGBU «Leningrad Interregional Veterinary Laboratory» detected 22 species and two subspecies out of 6 skin beetle genera. Besides, research institutions while studying seed material at that period detected 11 skin beetle genera. The article provides a key to the most economically important and frequently detected larvae of Trogoderma and Reesa genera.

Time and Diversity Analysis of Tortricidae Moths in the Area of Sufficient Moistening Stavropol Krai

Abstract. The data on Tortricidae moth monitoring, conducted from 2014 till 2016 in the area with sufficient moistening of Stavropol Krai are given in this paper. 10 moth species related to 5 tribes were detected during monitoring. Trophic connections of detected moth species were analyzed. Seasonal dynamics of moth flight was analyzed. Depending on moth flight period five phenological aspects were distinguished, where the summer aspect with over half of the species shows the widest species diversity.

Results and Prospectives of Invasive Plants Study in Siberia

Abstract. The article provides main results of Siberia’s invasive plant species study (within Siberian Federal District). The text includes the information concerning Siberia’s first report on invasive plants spreading, over 58 species of vascular plants. Considering the alien component’s high dynamics and some species’ fast spreading in Siberia, potentially invasive plants are to be detected and thoroughly studied.

Results of Phytosanitary Quarantine Survey of Farming and Forest Lands of the Valaam Monastery of the Transfiguration of the Savior
